Job Description:
We are seeking an associate passionate about helping
professionals protect their assets, children, and future in a
divorce. We are not your typical small law firm. Our
entrepreneurial law firm is poised for aggressive growth, and we're
looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our
clients outstanding representation. Ideal candidates have five or
more years of experience as lawyers in family law and can
demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. Our firm has created
efficient processes to streamline workflow so case management is
seamless between attorneys and the skilled paralegals who
assist.
We are looking for a team player to take ownership of a client's
case, including having direct contact with clients and opposing
counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling
mediations, conferences, pretrial hearings, and trials. You need to
have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing,
courtroom presentation, and common technology. Skills and
experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered,
but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are
also extremely important considerations. High-maintenance,
humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not
succeed in this position and need not apply.
Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable.
There will be opportunities for bonuses. We also pay for continuing
legal education, bar dues, and give opportunities for personal and
professional development.
We offer competitive benefits including 401k, profit sharing,
health insurance reimbursement, paid holidays, paid time off, and
countless perks to show our appreciation for hard work. If you like
to have fun at work with other cool people, all while doing work
that's really important and valuable to our clients, this job is
for you!
If you came to work for Moore Family Law Group today your work
environment would include three senior attorneys, five paralegals,
a legal assistant, a Client Acquisition & Retention Manager
responsible for doing all consultations with potential new clients,
a Chief of Operations, and other support staff so you can focus on
being an attorney.
Responsibilities:
--- Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
--- Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary
during divorce proceedings
--- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement
agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
Qualifications:
--- Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in
stressful and emotional situations
