OverviewShimmick is seeking a highly talented Project Engineer
to be based out of San Diego, CA. This challenging position will
provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the

a qualified individual to join our Southwest Division. Shimmick
takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work
ranging from expanding/constructing water and wastewater treatment
plants to construction of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge.Shimmick

from the world's largest wastewater recycling and purification

and market leadershipResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this
position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Under general supervision, performs routine duties.
- Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply
standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet
basic engineering and construction specifications.
- Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details
of work.
- Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed
commodities to assure conformance with specifications and
design.
- Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
- May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and
surveyors.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or
related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated
equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications:
- Water/Wastewater project experience
- Heavy civil construction experience
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to
detail
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under
pressure for multiple team leaders
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple
tasks
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal
skillsAdditional Information:
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a
pre-employment substance abuse test.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States
work authorization.The salary range for this position is between
$125,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience and/or
education.Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical -
including a NO-COST option, dental, and vision coverage; as well as
options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides
employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee
Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include

all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees
