SummaryManage a team of IS professionals responsible for the
development, support, and enhancements of Calpine Solutions Retail
applications. Will plan, organize, direct and control the functions
of this department. Responsible for developing staff and playing a
key role in scheduling the effective utilization of staff resources
based on requests made. Works closely with business areas to
identify business needs and develop system solutions. Actively
participates in the analysis and design of technology solutions to
meet the business need. Responsible for continually enhancing the
procedures and processes followed in completing the activities of
the department. Assures that technology standards are defined, and
the department is complying with those standards.Job
ResponsibilitiesActs as liaison between the business user
community, application vendors, 3rd party vendors and the
Application Support organization. Applies expert knowledge of
Calpine Energy Solutions' technology and business processes to
solve complex business problems. Documents and implements
development processes, coding standards, and best practices for the
development team. Implements and maintains Azure DevOps deployment
process, including branching strategies, code reviews, build
pipelines, and release management.Job RequirementsEducation
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer
Science, or equivalent.Experience
- Proven work experience mentoring developers and implementing IT
development standards.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Senior Developer, or
equivalent leadership positions.
- At least 4 years of experience managing a team of application
developers.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining Azure DevOps
deployment process.
- Proven work experience designing, developing, implementing, and
maintaining robust and scalable integration solutions leveraging
Microsoft Azure technologies.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

and implement solutions.

services; leads team in day-to-day implementation activities of new
products, services and techniques.Fiscal Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing project estimates and providing cost
estimates to management team.
- Responsible for monitoring project and team costs to a
budget.Salary InformationPosition eligible for annual bonus. Salary
