Job Description:

This is a benefited, exempt, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4pm. Hours will vary as needed. Infrequent availability for overnight sleep tech needs/scheduling issues. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines but may travel to other sites as needed.

    What you'll do:
    
    • 
      
    • Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations including Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Patient Services Representatives, and Polysomnographic Technicians.
      
    • 24 hour staffing on site and the ability to effectively manage complex schedules is essential.
      
    • Ability to lead a team consisting of licensed and unlicensed staff, ability to work efficiently in a changing environment and assist in maintaining accreditation status for the Sleep Department.
      
    • Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
      
    • Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
      
    • Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
      
    • Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
      
    • Management and development of clinical staff.
      
    • Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
      
    • Participates in budget planning and management. Takes proactive initiative in quality management.
