The Power Plant Engineer is an integral part of the Engineering department at the San Diego site, taking on a diverse range of responsibilities to drive forward our gas turbine engine solutions.This role is not available for new/future sponsorship, transfer, or renewal of nonimmigrant work visas.Responsibilities:

• Establish repair plans, optimize performance through engineering methods, and train mechanics and operators.
• Generate detailed investigation reports, control our ERP system, and monitor project progress.
• Manage tooling, evaluate technical data, implement improvements, and introduce lean and six sigma methodologies.
• Design, develop, test, and analyze cutting-edge gas turbine components and systems.
• Support quality control investigations, prioritize safety and uphold the highest quality standards.Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in turbine engine/aircraft overhaul and aviation maintenance engineering, demonstrating an understanding of gas turbine engine principles, including test cell operations, vibration and failure analysis, and general engine overhaul and repair procedures.
  • Proven experience performing maintenance on aircraft jet or gas turbine engines and components, showcasing your expertise in accurately interpreting blueprints and work in-process documents.
  • Strong technical skills to write and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high production standards and quality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with individuals at all levels of the organization.
