Volt is immediately hiring an experienced Batching Technician for San Marcos, Ca.

1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, must be available to transfer to 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm

$23.00-25.00/hr



As a Batching Technician you will:

Batching Technician I

The Batching Technician I is an entry-level position within the Batching Department, responsible for creating product batches as instructed by the Batching Manager, Supervisor, or Lead. This role includes handling ingredients, operating equipment, and performing cleaning duties using proper PPE. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Use pumps to perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes on vessels and canning fillers safely and efficiently under supervision


Work with cleaning chemicals while following PPE safety guidelines


Batch recipes in a timely and accurate manner with guidance


Learn and assist with equipment operations related to filtering and processing


Accurately weigh and verify ingredients using scales


Lift and handle 50+ lbs while following proper lifting techniques


Understand pressure differentials in vessels caused by gas or temperature shifts to ensure safety


Safely handle and maintain hoses to extend their lifespan and ensure employee safety


Carry out tasks as assigned by the Batching Lead with oversight


Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a dynamic warehouse setting



Food Safety ResponsibilitiesComplete and apply food safety training


Maintain product quality in accordance with company standards


Immediately report any defects or quality concerns to the Batching Lead or Supervisor


Keep batching work areas clean and organized at all times


Ensure all equipment and workspaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift


Conduct ATP testing to verify cleanliness of vessels and accurately document results


Promptly report food safety issues to the SQF Practitioner or Department Manager for corrective action





Pay Rate: $23.00-25.00/hr



*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

This is a full time opportunity



The ideal candidate will have:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required


Language: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English


Certifications: Forklift certification preferred but not required


Computer Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel


Familiarity with Google Docs / Microsoft Word and Gmail / Outlook


Experience with Orchestra software is a plus
